BioMy name is Elizabeth. I breed endangered animals at my local zoo, and I love predators. My dream is to have my own safari park, where I breed endangered predators as *predators* rather than caged creatures.
I'm currently engaged in a theoretical research project, as an application of scientific principles and zoological logic, in which I am exploring the biological nature of vampires, were they possibly to exist. This has been inspired by Peter Dickinson's book, A Flight of Dragons, in which he uses chemistry, biology and physics in combination with the many myths and legends surrounding dragons, to explore what they must have been like in order to exist.
Taking as my starting point that there are some basic, immutable laws of science, my intention is follow Dickinson's approach to explain the various legends that surround vamprism as if they were real, and account for as many as I can from a scientific basis. What this will result in is a treatise on what vampires must be like, were they to exist. I do not believe that vampires exist any more than Dickinson believed dragons existed, because I'm not a crazy lady.
